Country: NEPAL
Location:   Land locked Asian nation in the Himalaya mountain range, with India to the east, west and south and the People's Republic of China (Tibet) to the north (Figure-1).
Climate : Varies sharply with altitude, from arctic on the higher peaks to humid, sub-tropical in the central valley of Kathmandu, which is warm and sunny in the summer. Day time winter temperatures are 18 oC to 20 oC  and up to 30 oC  in the summer.
Rainfall : The rainy season is from June to October, with annual rainfall of 1000mm in Western Nepal and 2500mm in Eastern Nepal.
Language : The main language is Nepali, with other important local dialects. English is commonly spoken by all Government officials.
Area : 147,181 sq. km
Population : 26.50 million (CBS Census, 2011)
Capital :  KATHMANDU
Major Cities : Biratnagar, Birganj, Bhairahawa, Nepalganj , Pokhara and  Chitwan

Man Power :  There is a large pool of cheap skilled and unskilled manpower which will keep the operating costs relatively low.
Road Network :  A good network of roads linked with India (Figure-2).
Air Network : National airports in all the main towns and an International airport in Kathmandu linked with major countries of Asia and Europe (Figure-3).
